Course summary

GCE A Level French - AQA Exam Board The topics studied are much more advanced than at GCSE and enable you to communicate with people from French speaking countries about issues that really matter to you. At GCSE, the focus was very much on you and your day-to-day experiences. At A level, the focus shifts to considering worldwide issues and being able to discuss these in depth. You will enjoy learning a variety of topics ranging from French societies and cultures to issues relating to young people today. You will also have the opportunity to study a French film and book. The course encourages you to become an independent and outward-looking thinker and to develop your understanding of other cultures, beliefs and political systems which prepare you well for further studies at university.
