GCE A Level Geography - Edexcel Exam Board The Edexcel A Level enables you to engage critically with real world issues and places. You are given the opportunity to apply your own geographical knowledge, understanding and skill to really make sense of the complexities of the world we live in. The specification offers an issues-based approach to studying geography, enabling you to explore and evaluate contemporary geographical questions and issues such as the consequences of globalisation, health and human rights, responses to hazards, water insecurity and climate change. The course content gives you the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of both physical and human geography, the complexity of people and environment questions and issues, and to become critical, reflective and independent learners.
5 GCSE grades 9 to 4 or equivalent, including grade 4 in Maths and English. GCSE grade 5 or above in Geography (however, consideration will be given to candidates on an individual basis, who have an interest in the subject).
