You will explore theatre from an actor's perspective as well as those of the director and designer through practical text work, improvisation and discussion. You will look at plays in their historical and theatrical context and examine the role of theatre in today's society as well as in the light of various theatre practitioners. The study of drama and theatre at A Level can help students with a variety of skills as well as develop their creative career aspirations. Students who study this course will enhance their skills in creative thinking, teamwork, analysis, presentation skills, planning, public speaking, project management and leadership, as well as many other transferable skills.
