WJEC Level 3 Food Science & Nutrition - WJEC Exam Board This course is about the relationship between food, nutrition and health. You will gain a wealth of knowledge about the food and nutrition industry. You will have the opportunity to learn about the relationship between the human body and food as well as practical skills for cooking and preparing food. There are two mandatory units: Unit 1: Meeting Nutrition Needs of Specific Groups Unit 2: Ensuring Food is Safe to There are two optional units: Experimenting to Solve Food Production Problems and Current Issues in Food Science and Nutrition. This qualification is assessed through a combination of assessment methods, including written exams, practical tasks and centre marked assignments.
