A Level music is a course for those who have a passion for playing and listening to music. It encourages the development of musical knowledge, understanding and skills, including performing, composing and appraising. Students will engage critically and creatively with a wide range of music to develop an understanding of music in different cultures and context. This course builds on the skills gained at GCSE and can provide access to higher education and university degree courses in music and music-related subjects and other careers.
Grade 6 or above at Music GCSE and ideally a pass at grade 5 practical/theory or an equivalent standard. You may be asked to audition.
