The study at Biology A level is designed to increase scientific knowledge and develop an enquiring and critical approach through practical work. Students will experience topics including biological molecules, cellular function, and organisms' interactions with the world around them. Extended topics will also cover genetic inheritance, control of gene expression and evolution of organisms. Skills learned are invaluable to a career in the life sciences, including environmental science, dietetics, nutrition, biomedical science,biochemistry,nursing,botany,zoology,medicine,dentistry,forensics,pharmacy,physiotherapy,psychology and veterinary medicine.
