The course covers both English Language and Literature and the connections between them. Students will study a range of literary and non-literary texts, and both spoken and written language. The course builds on the skills, knowledge and understanding acquired for GCSE English Language and English Literature, and assessment is carried out through a mixture of coursework tasks and examination.
