Course summary
The 3D design course gives students the opportunity to develop a portfolio exploring selected themes to develop ideas in a variety of different media, techniques and processes. Within 3D Design, students will have the opportunity to explore and combine one or more areas of study: sculpture • exhibition design • design for theatre • interior design • product design • environmental and architectural design • jewellery/body ornament • 3D digital design. This course will give students the opportunity to increase individual ownership of their work and develop a varied portfolio with a coherent project at the core. · Students will be marked on their observations, experimentation with materials and processes, their ability to analyse their chosen influences, and their own development of ideas. · The subject requires dedication to producing work outside of lessons and present this to a high standard.
