Course summary
This qualification provides a coherent introduction to the study of Creative Digital Media. Learners study how to develop various media products including animation, visual effects skills, games design and development and film. Assessment is by completing 4 units of which 3 are mandatory and 2 are external. CAREERS Media professionals are quite flexible about where they can work once they have built up expertise in a certain role. The BTEC Creative Digital Media course helps give you an overall feeling of different roles and responsibilities. Just some of the hugely varied roles available to you as a media career involve being a journalist, editor, photographer, camera operator, designer, producer, researcher, technician, copywriter, presenter, actor, writer, artist etc. There are lots of university courses or apprenticeship schemes on offer following Sixth Form.
