Course summary

Students are expected to demonstrate creativity, independence and fortitude in the context of their chosen areas, which include portraiture, landscapes and experimental photography. Students will also be required to demonstrate: the ability to explore elements of visual language, line, form, colour, pattern and texture in the context of photography, awareness of intended audience or purpose for their chosen area(s), the ability to respond to an issue, theme, concept or idea, or work to a brief or answer a photography need, with an appreciation of viewpoint, composition, aperture, depth of field, shutter speed and movement. To create imagery we use both traditional darkroom methods as well as the most modern photo-manipulation techniques using the very latest industry standard software (Photoshop). CAREERS Studying A-Level Physical Education can lead to an array of career paths and higher education options.
