This course focuses on digital music production. You will learn how to create music for media and how to use Logic Pro X to produce professional sounding recordings. Other skills you will develop include sampling, synthesis, mixing, mastering and remixing. Newman has a large number of imacs with the most up to date version of Logic Pro X. We will also learn how to make recordings in a studio environment and there are opportunities to perform in concerts and to learn how to control live sound and lighting at concerts and productions both in school and at external venues.
Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade 9-4 mainly at Grade 4 or above. Music at Grade 5, BTEC Music at Level 2 Pass or evidence of production skills. BTEC Music at Level 2 Pass or evidence of production skills.
