Course summary

A 2 year course, AS Level is taken at the end of Year 1 and the A2 (2016) or full A Level sat at then of the two year course. At AS level students develop a knowledge and understanding of the legal system and an ability to evaluate its operation and performance. The course introduces students to substantive law and requires them to apply aspects of criminal law and civil law in different case studies Unit 1 The legal system and criminal law. Unit 2 Law making and the law of tort.

Entry requirements

Students require a minimum of 5 GCSE at Grade 6 or above (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.

How you'll be assessed

Exam - you will be expected to sit the AS Level exam at the end of Year 12 and A Level at end of Year 13. At AS Level Unit 1 1hr 30min written exam Unit 2 1hr 30min written exam
