Course summary

A 2 year course, AS Level is taken at the end of Year 1 and the A2 (2016) or full A Level sat at then of the two year course At AS Level students study the main approaches to psychology in order to gain an understanding and insight into human behaviour and thinking. In particular, students study the importance of nature (what you were born with) and nurture (how you were raised) in making people who they are and how they are. Students also complete a series of short and manageable practical experiments, allowing them to develop an active knowledge of the scientific aspects of psychology. Entry requirements

Students require a minimum of 5 GCSE at Grade 6 or above (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics.

How you'll be assessed

Exam - you will be expected to sit the AS Level exam at the end of Year 12 and A Level at end of Year 13. At AS Level: Unit 1: 1hr 30min written exam. Unit 2: 1hr 30min written exam.
