Year 12 Component 1: Personal Investigation (60%) Students develop work in response to an idea, issue, concept or theme of their choice. Students must include written material of a critical analytical nature (1000-3000 words). Component 2: Externally set Assignment (40%) Question paper containing a choice of eight starting points. Fifteen hours supervised to produce final piece(s). Year 13 Component 3: Personal Investigation (60% of total A Level mark) Students develop work in response to an idea, issue, concept or theme of their choice. Students must include written material of a critical analytical nature (1000-3000 words). 5 GCSEs, at grade 5 or above -including English and maths. Grade 5 Art GCSE or a photography portfolio
