
Option 1A: Aspects of Tragedy Students will study four tragic texts: Othello, Death of a Salesman, Tess of the d'Urbervilles and the tragic poetry of John Keats. through these texts they will explore the core features of tragic literature and how they are used by different authors within different historical and literary contexts. Option 2A: Elements of Crime Students will study three texts: Atonement, The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and The Rime of The Ancient Mariner. They will also analyse a range of crime literature extracts to prepare for the unseen element of the exam.
