Course summary

You will study a number of mandatory units to develop the skills required within the health and social care sector as well as optional units that focus on specialist areas of work within health and social care. You will learn, develop and use a variety of transferable skills throughout the course. These include collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, communicating your findings in different ways as well as identifying and developing the links between different parts of the subject. These skills are in great demand and are recognized by employers and universities as being of great value.

How you'll be assessed

Unit 1: Human Growth and Development This unit will be assessed through a written exam worth 90 marks and is 90 minutes. Unit 5: Meeting individual Care and Support Needs This unit will be assessed through a written report and marked internally as well as sent away for verification. Students must pass this coursework in order to complete the certificate.
