
There are three exam units over the two years Unit 1 – Body systems and the effects of physical activity Unit 3 - Sports Organisations and development Unit 4 – Working Safely in Sport The remainder of the assessments are centre based coursework which is moderated by external OCR moderator
For all Sixth Form courses, students must have five GCSE (or equivalent) passes at Grades 9-4, which must include Mathematics and English Language/Literature at a Grade 4 or above. Students must also achieve a level 5 in biology to study this qualification. Students do not have to have taken Cambridge National Qualification previously but if they have, students must have a level 2 Merit in the Cambridge National Qualification. They must also be able to demonstrate regular participation in sporting activities.
