This course consists of three externally examined components and one non-examined assessment (coursework.) ~ Component 1 – Language Variation. This will be examined in a 2 hour and 15-minute paper and will be worth 35% of the total A Level. ~ Component 2 – Child Language.. This will be examined in a 1 hour and 15-minute paper and will be worth 20 of the total A Level ~ Component 3 – Investigating Language. This will be the last exam and will be a 1 hour and 45-minute paper worth 25% of the total A Level. ~ Component 4 – Coursework – Crafting Language.. This will be a maximum of 2,500 – 3,000 words in total and will be worth 20% of the total A Level.
