Course summary
This subject will suit students who are considering employment in a wide range of sectors. Economists are sought after in banking, accountancy, business and finance, actuarial and data analysis sectors. However, an economics qualification will boost your employability in many other areas where there is demand for the transferable analytical and problem-solving skills developed on the course - both at A level and degree level. You will find economists in all these fields: human resources, law, journalism, politics, management, public relations, IT, social research, taxation - to name just a few.
