You will study: 1. What the universe is made up of through studying waves and particles in topics ranging from the minute world of particles, radiation, quantum mechanics and nuclear physics to the large-scale properties of materials and the interactions between planets and stars. 2. How everything interacts to give us the laws of nature as we know them through studying the mechanics of forces, moments, motion, momentum and thermal physics and then extending your knowledge to electric, gravitational and magnetic fields. 3. Key turning points in the history of physics culminating in Einstein’s special relativity.
