Qualification for 3 A-Levels or Triple BTEC Award Students study for the Extended Project Qualification alongside their main courses and they have the freedom to choose to study for this qualification in either Year 12 or Year 13, whatever suits them. EPQ is worth an AS-Level in terms of weighting, but is viewed as so much more by universities who favour students with this qualification because they learn vital university study skills such as referencing, research and extended writing which are all deemed highly desirable skills.
