Course summary

100% of students went to university last year and 30% studied media related degrees such as Graphic Design, Visual Effects, Media and Communication. The development of creative skills, knowledge of professional software ( Photoshop, blogging, photography, editing) and analytical skills drives a theoretical understanding of how the media shapes the world around us making Media a life-enhancing subject choice. We have a vibrant media industry in the UK, from designing computer games to our version of Silicon Valley based in Old Street in the City. There is a very broad range of media careers available. This course comprises 70% external assessment and 30% non-examination assessment. Topics studied include: Investigating Media Language and Representation; Investigating Media Industries and Audiences; Investigating Media Forms and Products.
