A Level Physical Education
Course summary
This course provides breadth and balance, giving students the chance to study a wide array of theoretical areas that underpin physical education and sport. In choosing this course, students will develop knowledge which will equip them for undergraduate study in areas of Physiology, Biomechanics, Psychology and Sociology. Students will also be able to gain credit for their practical sports ability through their performance in a wide range of individual or team sports.

Grade 5 achieved within the GCSE theory (examination) element, if taken. Although prior study of examination based Physical Education is not required, interest in a range of sporting areas is essential. Regular participation in one team/individual sport essential. (The ability to play this sport to a high standard is desirable.)
