Course summary

As a member of the Mandarin Excellence Programme, Tytherington is one of a select number of schools in the country that is in a position to offer the IB Diploma in Mandarin, which is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to reach fluency in the language. The course is worth approximately half the credits of a full A Level and is studied across two years, making it an excellent means of improving your Mandarin alongside your three A Level subjects. The course builds upon the linguistic and cultural knowledge you have gained from studying GCSE Chinese and enables you to apply these language skills to talk about issues in the Chinese speaking world.
