5 Units - three of them are mandatory (Units 1, 2, and 3), and two are yours to choose. Mandatory Units: Unit 1: Fundamentals of IT (Externally Examined) • Discover the secrets behind IT technologies that power the digital world. • Find out about hardware, networks, and software that make our tech-driven lives tick. • Uncover the ethical side of computing and how businesses harness IT for success. Unit 2: Global Information (Externally Examined) • Get ready to decode the mysteries of information flow within organisations. • Explore the fascinating world of data, both inside and outside organisations. • Master the art of understanding and managing information that fuels decision-making. Unit 3: Cyber Security (Externally Examined) • Gain knowledge and understanding of the range of threats, vulnerabilities and risks that impact on both individuals and organisations. • You will learn about the solutions that can be used to prevent or deal with cyber security incidents resulting from these challenges. • Become a guardian of the cyber world with knowledge of cutting-edge solutions. After completing these mandatory units, you'll have the chance to customise your IT course with TWO choice units, both of which are coursework based!
